The 40 Hour Famine

Some people do not realise how much they really have. They always so caught up in the latest gadgets they never realise the basics of what they have. Some of them are food, water and a house to live in. all of us take these things for granted even me. But if you have not realised there are some people who do not even have a roof to sleep under most not even a tent or a hut, there also people who have to drink contaminated water because there is no fresh water. People don't even realise that some people don't even eat which can result in serious injuries and diseases I actually learned about one where children get so skinny it effects their growth and learning. World Vision is trying to turn all of this around, that is why the 40 hour famine is so important. The way it works is you plan on giving something up, such as talking in which I am doing right now. you then get sponsors who give you money if you complete the famine. If you are doing the 40 hour famine with a school your teacher will give you a time to hand them  the money. People have their own opinion on things like some may think this is stupid and they have rights to believe what they want. But if you think this is a good cause do it because in the end you are going to make someones life so much better than it was before.

Tips for getting sponsors:

  1. Get sponsored by people you know because I am sure World vision would  rather you safe than kidnapped
  2. Don't ask people for cerain amounts of money just let them offer you their own amount
  3. Get straight to the point of what  you are trying to say but do it nicely
  4. with the above point if someone asks for more information give it to them and if they don't beieve you show them evidence such as a 40 hour famine booklet with your participant I.D an easier way is to give them their recipet which already requires the I.D number

Right Clickers

It has come to my attention that a few of you have been right clicking and that is ok but if you would like the things I have or something else I will happily tell you how and may I say that this is the blog I got my idea of the place where I get these backrounds and stuff from http://emerson-photographic.blogspot.com. As you can see on my backround it says shabbyblogs.com well thats the place. The only things I get from there are backrounds blinkies and buttons. I will now tell you how to put them onto your blog.

1. Click on the item you would like on your blog and copy the code.
2. Return to your blog and click design and add a gadget that is a html/java script.
3. leave the title box alone and paste the code into the big box
4. Click save and return to blog and you should have your new backround, blinkie or button
